It’s officially day 3 in paradise.  We are on Great Exuma Island in the Bahamas for spring break.  Our friends rented a house on the beach and we are being spoiled with turquoise water and white sand.   As I write this, Kenny is outside in the hammock and Taylor is being lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves…rough, right?

Taylor is having a great time…he has lots of space to rome and lots of people to pay attention to him.  He’s not too sure yet about the beach and the ocean, but apparently the sand tastes good because he’s eating a lot of it.  We are so glad we brought him on this trip.  The time we are spending together has been precious.

Our plans for the rest of the week…beach, eat, and sleep!  We are looking forward to a boat ride, the chat-n-chill (an island bar and grill that you drive the boat up to), a sand bar that stretches for miles with millions of sand dollars, and an area where you can pick up live star fish!

Check back soon for more pictures…

The 6 month hiatus from the blog is officially over.  Taylor is no longer a baby.  As of February 19, 2009, he is now a toddler.  The year has brought us so many new experiences some which were shared on this blog and others only you parents out there can appreciate.  We are 100%, card-carrying members of the parental club now and it has been a blast.

So with 13 months under our belt, I’m sure you’re asking what Taylor is doing now.  Well, let me tell you.  He is walking!!!! He is soooo close to running you can hear Ellen and I putting on our track shoes.  His eating has not slowed down.  Here are a few “In’s and Out’s” to summerize:

Spagetti and Meatballs = IN                   Rice Cereal = OUT

Peaches and Cottage Cheese = IN         Blended Peaches = OUT

Whole Milk = IN                                     Formula = OUT

Car Seat Forward = IN                            Car Seat Backward = OUT

Elmo and Baby Signs DVD = IN…..Oh wait, they’ve always been in.

HAPPY 1st Year, TAYLOR!……and Mommy and Daddy!
